As an Atlanta native, Ma’Kishia graduated from Georgia State University earning a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Thereafter she earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Thurgood Marshall School of Law at Texas Southern University in 2006. Ma’Kishia has been a member of the State Bar of Georgia since 2006 in which her entire practice has consisted of Real Estate and adhering to the Title Standards.
Over the course of 15 plus years, Ma’Kishia has become extremely knowledgeable within the areas of title. Being an agent for all national title insurance companies at some point in her career, she is aware of industry requirements to convey insurable title. She can identify complex multi-state matters revealed from exams and cure issues as required by title underwriters. At Continental, Ma’Kishia oversees the production of the title process from title examination through the production of the title policies generated by the agency. She also supervises two title assistants who are instrumental in the production process. Everyday duties also include the review of the exams along with surveys (as applicable) for specific matters relating to the title commitment and its effect on the subject property of the transaction at hand.
Outside of the legal title profession, Ma’Kishia is a diehard fan for home team in all sports! Being a “BOY MOM”, Ma’Kishia is heavily engaged in the boys sporting activities that consist of football, basketball, and karate. As a family, Ma’Kishia enjoys spending time with her husband and kids participating in outdoor activities such as bicycle riding and golfing.
